Some things you should know about WooCommerce;
- You can add as many products with as many variations as needed.
- Each product must have a dedicated SKU of its own.
- WooCommerce will generate separate SKUs for each variation of your product automatically.
- You must have an existing payment gateway to utilize WooCommerce. This can include PayPal, Stripe, and other popular gateways.
- If you use PayPal as your sole payment gateway, you may not require an SSL certificate. However, due to upcoming changes in Google search protocol, it is still recommended to add SSL to your site.
- Many themes have built-in WooCommerce compatibility readily available.
- WooCommerce was recently acquired by Automatic, the company responsible for creating WordPress.
- There are dozens of free and paid plugins available to achieve almost any requirement or need, including an invoice and shipping label generator, the ability to import and export CSVs, automated tax calculation, live shipping rates, shipping label printing, and more.
- You can limit who is able to purchase from your store by geographic location. For example, if you only wish to ship to the US and Canada, you can set WooCommerce to reject purchases from other countries.
