Featured Images

A Featured Image is simply an image that allows your visitors to get an at-a-glance impression of the content of your Post without reading. Not only does it help get your point across in a visual way, it also makes your website more enticing to visitors by providing more to look at than just text.

You can set a Featured Image on the right side of the Add New under the Posts section of your Dashboard. Featured Images should be somewhere around 1200px wide, and 400px tall, or taller. All Featured Images should be saved in a way that compresses them properly for the web so they do not cause your site to take a long time to load.

Most responsive websites will show only a portion of a featured image on mobile, so it's best to try to use images that have the important content located in the middle of the photograph or graphic.
