How to Set a Page to Private

In order to set a Page to Private, you'll want to navigate to the page in question, and click Edit or Quick Edit.

If you've chosen to click Edit, you will need to locate the Publish panel on the right side of the screen, and edit the visibility from Public to Private. Click OK and then click Update.

If you've chosen to click Quick Edit, you'll see the option on the bottom of the left column. Simply check the box marked Private, and hit Update.

Your page should now be private.

A word of caution - pages set to Private are only visible to logged in Administrators and Editors. No other users, logged in or not, will be able to view this content, nor will bots crawl it. This setting effectively removes the page from your site, and any menu links will take a casual user to a 404 error page.
